The scan quality is decisive for all subsequent processing steps up to the separation of the single articles.

• distorsion-free double-page scan of hardcover books
• proper alignment of the pages
• clean background, dirt pixel elimination between the letters
• high-contrast reproduction of the characters
• visual inspection of the pages, manual correction of contingently existing errors
• from our experience we are scanning with 300dpi
• black and white pages will be scanned bi-tonal, colored pages respectively colored
• our scanning performance is currently running at about 20.000 pages a day and is scalable in short term
